Information We Collect
When you create an account we store your email address and name (or the name and profile picture from your Google account if you sign in with Google). We also store the data you create in the app: saved picks, watchlists, portfolios, comments, notification settings, and — if you opt in — your Telegram chat ID and web-push subscription so we can send you alerts. If you consent to analytics, we also collect basic usage data such as page views and feature interactions.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to provide and improve the 8tickers service: authenticating you, saving your picks and watchlists, sending the email, Telegram, and browser notifications you request, and — where you have consented — understanding how the app is used.
Cookies & Local Storage
We store your login token and your cookie-consent choice in your browser's local storage — these are essential for the app to work and are not shared. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner; you can decline, and none are set unless you opt in.
Third-Party Services
We share personal data with the following processors only as needed to run the service: Google (sign-in, if you use it, and Google Analytics, only with your consent), Mailjet (to send account emails such as verification and password resets), Telegram (only if you connect Telegram alerts), and browser push services (only if you enable push notifications). Stock and financial data is sourced from third-party data providers, who do not receive your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
Your Rights
You can access, export, and permanently delete your data at any time. Use "Export my data" in the account menu to download a machine-readable copy of everything tied to your account, and "Delete account" to erase your account and all associated data. Deleting your account removes your saved picks, watchlists, portfolios, comments, notifications, and any Telegram or push connections.
