Lithium Americas is a pure-play lithium producer developing Thacker Pass, one of the world's largest lithium resources, in northwest Nevada. The company controls 59% of the project—with General Motors (36%) and the U.S. government (5%) as partners—and expects production to begin in 2028. As the first clay-based lithium asset in production, Thacker Pass is projected to operate in the lower half of the global cost curve with integrated downstream refining capabilities.
