Casey's General Stores operates approximately 2,900 convenience stores across the Midwest, with roughly half located in rural communities of under 5,000 people. The company generates two-thirds of its gross profit from in-store merchandise sales—including groceries, prepared foods, and general goods—while fuel stations serve as traffic drivers. With ownership of over 90% of its store locations and control of most warehouse and distribution operations, Casey's maintains significant vertical integration and operational control.
